Growing up in the Washington, D.C. area, we were surrounded by museums, culture, and endless inspiration, but nothing shaped us more than our great-grandfather, a gifted painter whose work hung on the walls of our childhood home. Through his work, we learned that a single painting could change the entire feeling of a room.
That belief is what led us, two sisters, to create Art Galilee Design.
The Turning Point
When it came time to decorate our own homes, we realized something was missing. We couldn't find artwork that truly reflected our personalities. Everywhere we looked, the same mass-produced prints appeared, lacking the originality and character we were searching for. Frustrated by the options, we started creating artwork that felt personal, vibrant, and full of character. That's when we realized other people might be looking for the same thing we were.
